Virus/Worm Removal Tools
The following removal tools are supplied by Symantec, the maker of Norton Anti-Virus products and Microsoft. You should carefully read all of the instructions before downloading and running any of the programs. It would probably be a good idea to backup your registry if the instructions mention any changes that will be made.
You should keep running the tool until no viruses or worms are found. It might
even be a good idea to run the tools in "safe mode" to prevent most of
the startup programs and drivers from loading.
After running the appropriate removal tool, I suggest that you run a spyware removal program like Lavasoft's Ad-Aware.
